Headed out yesterday morning with Brian Dietz and Ryan Flynn and crew aboard the Benchmark, made a drop with the clams and no takers. Just skates doggies and sandsharks. Ran down the beach and stumbled upon bird life and a ton of readings, put the spoons in and for a couple of hours we were non stop on blues and landed 2 nice bass. After the tide change nothing came back to life so we explored all over from rockaway to flynns knoll with no luck. Tomorrow is another day.

We had Michael Gennaro and friends onboard saturday morning and were hoping for a repeat of Fridays trip, we dropped with the clams and fairly quickly had a nice 32″ bass on the deck. It quickly became apparent as we lost the tide that we lost the bass as well, after a while the boys were interested in catching some blues so we made the run south aways. The spoons went in and the blues were on them immediately, a few bass even followed the hooked blues to the back of the boat. Frustrating, but we had action until the day was over.

Dave Weiss and his group joined capt. Jimmy Rivelli aboard the Benchmark Thursday morning, they tried clams they tried bunker and even trolled plugs and spoons but only pulled one bass out the bay along with a bunch of monster blues.
